Fairly high mileage, at least compared to how it looks, but there’s one red flag jumping out at me...

There’s no way it came from the factory with the Kompressor badge slanted like that. The one on the other side is straight, but this one looks like it was just thrown on there. It also appears that the front bumper doesn’t line up perfectly, which isn’t a big deal, but... I think this car has been wrecked before. What say you, Oppo?

This generation SLK is one of my favorite cars ever in terms of style. But only in yellow and sometimes red.

I’d rather have a Z3. Normally I don’t dislike things for looking too feminine, but those SLKs make a fist gen Miata look butch. The Z3 however... Looks a bit tougher, but not like it’s trying to be tough, it just is.

I think its cuteness is part of why I love it. I’d hate something like a Nissan Micra or an old New Beetle, though. There’s gross cutesy cute, but then there’s also sporty cute. The SLK, Miata, Mini Cooper, and a few others fit that category pretty well.

That’s fair. I think in my mind it’s a Barbie car. Like my niece might have had a pink Power Wheel one. And I do love Mini Coopers, and even the “New Beetle” has grown on me, especially the turbo model with the fog lights up by then headlights.

It definitely does have that sort of image to it, yeah. I dunno.

The important thing is that it’s yellow, and yellow cars are good cars.

No. No you do not. 18 year old German convertibles are really terrible ideas. Especially when they’re early for that generation. And when they’ve clearly been wrecked.
